Windows Embedded POSReady 7

Windows Embedded POSReady 7 is the successor of Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. It is a preconfigured operating system based on Windows Embedded 7 which has been optimized for Point of Service applications. An Windows 7 like setup allows you to install POSReady 7 with a few clicks directly on your target device. The installed image contains Embedded Enabling Features such as the Enhanced Write Filter, File Based Write Filter, Registry Filter, USB Boot and the new Keyboard Filter.

 Easy Setup
Windows Embedded POSReady 7 has an easy installation wizard which allows you to install the operating system with a few mouse clicks.

 Language Packs
Windows Embedded POSReady 7 will offer many language packs which can be integrated into the image. The UI language can be changed on the fly in the running image.

 Embedded Enabling Features
Protect your configuration using filter drivers like the Enhanced Write Filter, File Based Write Filter, Registry Filter, boot from USB and customize the shell the way you need it. Additionally the system allows you to block certain keys and key combination using the new Keyboard Filter.

 No Activation
Windows Embedded POSReady 7 does not need to be activated. Once a product key has been entered on build-time the image is fully activated. The image can be cloned as often as needed without any need to re-activate.

 Security
With features known from Windows 7 you can add additional security to your devices. Use AppLocker to only run predefined software or use BitLocker to completely encrypt your devices system drive.

 Compatibility
Windows Embedded POSReady 7 is 100% compatible to Windows 7. There is no need to rewrite or port your application to run on POSReady 7. If it runs on Windows 7 it will run on Windows Embedded POSReady 7 without any change! Also all Windows 7 drivers will work on Windows Embedded POSReady 7.


Image Build Process

Window Embedded POSReady 7 is installed directly on the target device.
The OPK contains a bootable setup DVD which will guide you through the whole installation process directly on the device.
