If you are using Internet Explorer on Windows Embedded POSReady 7 then you should update to the newer versions to keep getting security updates. You can update to IE 10 or IE 11 as both are now supported on POSReady 7.
The installation packages are available on MyOEM:
IE 10:
- 32-bit: Available via MyOEM portal
- 64-bit: Available via MyOEM portal
IE 11:
- 32-bit: Available via MyOEM portal
- 64-bit: Available via MyOEM portal
Important notes:
- Always back up the system before applying browser updates
- Test the update in a controlled environment before rolling out to production devices
- Check application compatibility with the new IE version
- Some embedded applications may require specific IE compatibility settings
