DISMUI v3.0.3 available – Support for Windows Embedded Standard 8 CTP3 and removing modules
DISMUI v3.0.3 extends CTP3 support by enabling module removal at any time – something the built-in DISM command cannot do. It safely checks for dependencies before removing packages.
Windows Offline Configurator and Windows Embedded Standard 8 CTP3

The Windows Embedded Standard 2009 May 2011 Feature Update adds graphical EWF and FBWF management tools that appear in the systray and allow monitoring and configuring the write filter drivers.

Driver Injector is a free tool included with the Elbacom Embedded Toolkit that automatically finds and injects the right drivers into your Windows Embedded image using a Target Analyzer output file.
Using DISMUI with POSReady 7 CTP
DISMUI works with the Windows Embedded POSReady 7 CTP, but requires two manual preparation steps: creating a proper Distribution Share folder structure and removing the conflicting Windows Boot Environment component.
CBS Package Inspector
Microsoft released the CBS Package Inspector tool for Windows Embedded Standard 7 and the upcoming POSReady 7, allowing you to inspect Feature Packages, updates, dependencies, files, and registry entries.
Portable DISMUI and/or DISMUI without .NET Framework
DISMUI needs the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed, which is not portable. The Mono Framework — an Open Source implementation of .NET — is portable and DISMUI runs on it too.

XP Embedded Builder v2 – Overview
XP Embedded Builder is a tool which allows you to create XP Embedded images directly on the target hardware without any knowledge in Target Designer. The interface is similar to an XP Professional setup — boot from DVD and a wizard guides you through the installation.
Creating custom components
XP Embedded Builder v2 allows you to create your own custom components by creating the correct file structure, exporting registry entries, and building a Config.cfg configuration file.
