Despite long product availability and support, the support of embedded systems ends at a certain time. Currently the regular support for the embedded versions of Windows 7 is coming to an end, Microsoft offers an Extended Security Update (ESU) for all partners who cannot migrate to a more current Operating System and require security updates for their Windows 7 based devices.
