Easy Setup
Uses the same setup as the retail version, allowing use of familiar tools to install and deploy the operating system on devices.

Lockdown Features
Includes the new Unified Write Filter that combines the best of Enhanced Write Filter, File Based Write Filter and Registry Filter. Also adds USB Filter to create black or white lists for USB devices.

Add and remove features using the "Turn Windows features on or off" dialog for flexible configuration.

Embedded Lockdown Manager
Manage lockdown features remotely via the MMC Snap-In or PowerShell scripts using the enhanced WMI interface. Configure Unified Write Filter, Keyboard Filter Driver, Dialog Filter and Shell Launcher.

Use Secure Boot to ensure only verified images can boot. Protect the hard disk with BitLocker bound to TPM chip so it only works in the device.

Image Build Process
Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro is installed directly on the target device. The OPK contains a bootable setup DVD which guides you through the whole installation process. The system includes additional features such as the Unified Write Filter to protect your image. Use the Embedded Lockdown Manager to configure lockdown features locally or remotely via MMC Snap-In or PowerShell scripts.
