Image Build Process

XPeImageBuildProcess

The Windows XP Embedded image is build on a development machine using the Target Designer tool.
At first you need to retrieve the hardware information from the device with a tool called TAP.exe.
The output of this tool can be imported into Target Designer. After the import you can build the image according to your needs.
Target Designer will then build your image – this image can then be copied to the target device.
After that the target device can boot your image.
